A Response to ‘Women Against Feminism.’

Imagine this:

The year is 2014. You are a white Western woman. You wake up in the morning in a comfortably sized house or flat. You have a full or part-time job that enables you to pay your rent or mortgage. You have been to school and maybe even college or university as well. You can read and write and count. You own a car or have a driver’s licence. You have enough money in your own bank account to feed and clothe yourself. You have access to the Internet. You can vote. You have a boyfriend or girlfriend of your choosing, who you can also marry if you want to, and raise a family with. You walk down the street wearing whatever you feel like wearing. You can go to bars and clubs and sleep with whomever you want.

Your world is full of freedom and possibility.

What are you doing for these third world women? What is feminism doing for these third world women? Are you aware of the false rape accusation rate in India as well? Are you aware that basically everything you mentioned happened before you were born and you can take positively no credit for it? Do you realize that you already, in this rant recognized that you are privileged, and that what you are doing is literally using fictionalized accounts of other women to justify something that is no more than a hate movement? Do you realize that by saying “If you think you don’t need feminism then that’s a victory” That’s basically telling people that you won anyway which is a really childish thing to say? Please explain to me what feminism is doing for these women that you completely made up, didn’t source at all, and then claimed feminism was actually helping. If these stories actually happened why not use the stories? No one is claiming third world women don’t have it bad but what are YOU doing? You write a blog, a painfully unpopular and useless blog with your awesome privilege and you think this helps anyone? Really? Because you are “aware” of the issue feminism is a GREAT thing now? I’m a woman against feminism, I am also an egalitarian. I am in a movement that is actually about equality. Not tearing women down, promoting false statistics, and making people look/feel stupid if they actually get educated. I know what feminism is about that’s why I don’t like it. 99% of people who hate feminism are more educated in it than feminists. All your sources are biased feminist websites that don’t actually provide any real information. If anything this article just reinforced WHY I don’t need feminism. Congratulations. You failed. Good luck with all that self righteousness as it must be hard to walk around with an ego that huge.

Hey, what is up! First of all, I wish to apologize about this post. I simply reblogged it without saying my piece and I regret everything that is or was in it. Why? Because I did not read it fully. So, again I am sorry and thank for calling me out on it.
